Step 1: Visit the Website
The tourists are requested to open the website - girlion.in. This site allows tourists to gain travel information about Gir and also make safari bookings online. The homepage of the website will open. From there, click on the Safari Booking option from the main menu. You can go to the booking page of anyone from these:
- Gir Jungle Safari (Gir Park Safari)
- Devalia Gypsy Safari
- Kankai Temple Ride
- Girnar Safari
Note: Choose the safari you want to enjoy and click on it. Each of these safari options offers a unique experience, so you can pick based on your interests and time availability.
Step 2: Select Your Date and Time
On the booking page of the chosen safari option, the tourists first have to fill out the form that will be given at the top. In the form, they will be required to select the date of travel. A calendar will appear from which you can choose the safari date.
Next, choose the time slot for your safari. Each type of safari offers different timings. So, you can choose the timing from the drop-down menu when you click on Safari time.
Step 3: Choose Safari Vehicle Type
After selecting the time slot, you need to choose the category of gypsy safari. You will be given options of seating capacity, such as:
- 4-seater gypsy
- 6-seater gypsy
- 8-seater gypsy
Pick one according to the number of people in your group and your comfort. You can even book an 8-seater for fewer people. It all depends on your comfort.
Step 4: Enter Number of Visitors
Now, you have to enter the number of visitors, including both adults and children. Remember, children below 5 years can only be added under the children category.
Step 5: Provide Contact Information
Next, you need to fill in your personal details, like:
- Full Name
- Mobile Number (must be working, as the permit will be sent here)
- Email ID (booking confirmation and updates will be sent here too)
Make sure both your phone number and email ID are active, because all official communication, including the safari permit, will be sent to the number and email.
Step 6: Enter Address and State Details
Click on book now, and a new page will open. On the next page, the tourists have to fill in some basic information, such as:
- Your State of Residence
- Your Full Address
Check all the details before moving on to the next step of the safari booking process.
Step 7: Fill in Passenger Details (Important One)
One of the most important steps of online safari booking is to fill in the correct details of each passenger in the form. You have to enter them one by one. The required details include:
- Full Name
- Age
- Gender
- Nationality
- State
- Type of ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, etc.)
- ID Number of the chosen ID proof
Important Tip: sure that all details are the same as written in the ID proof that you’re choosing. Also, you will have to carry the same ID proof on the day of the safari. If there is any mismatch, your entry can be denied at the gate, even if your booking is confirmed.
Step 8: Review All Information
Before making the payment for your safari, review all the information carefully:
- Check the date and time slot
- Check the gypsy seating category
- Verify names, ages, and ID numbers of all passengers
If any mistake is found later, then your safari permit can be cancelled at the entry gate. If details of even 1 passenger are wrong, then they won’t be able to go for the ride. Also, no refund will be given in such cases.
Step 9: Check the Total Amount & Terms and Conditions
After filling in all the details in the form, you will see the total amount payable at the bottom of it. This amount will include the permit fee, vehicle charges, and guide fee. Calculate and check the amount that will be written is right according to your gypsy, passengers, and other details.
Before payment, you will see a box asking you to confirm that you have read all the terms, conditions, and refund policies. Click on the checkbox to agree. We recommended that you go through the refund and cancellation policy once before making the payment.
Step 10: Make the Payment
At last, you have to click on “Pay Now” and make the payment in the company account through the secure payment gateway. You can pay using a credit card, a debit card, net banking, or UPI. Wait for 24 hours, and we will send a confirmation message of your safari to your registered mobile number and email ID. The safari permit will also be sent there.
